I worked on the question of how did the church of San Carlos looked before the war to end up in just ruins.
I undertook this project to recreate the San Carlos Church as it was before it was bombed and fell into ruin. I also want to encourage people to learn more about our country's history. It's connected to the "Exploring the South: Nature and History" trip in my school, as it allows us to discover places with historical and environmental value. The San Carlos Church represents a part of the War of the Triple Alliance and the strength of the Paraguayan people. Through this work, I learned to appreciate our country more and understand the importance of preserving it.
To build my solution I started investigating for any image of back then when the church was still intact, as I did the research I only found one pdf of a 3d model made with AI of how the church looked before the ruins and started using that as a Inspiration for my actual model.
After I did my project it ended up pretty well, i did a moddel in minecraft and a physical model. My design works because now people can visualize how did the church used to look originally. Some data that helped me is the 3d model made by AI i found as i did my research, it helped me a lot to make my own model and also have a reference.
My results show the dedication that I had for this project, you can notice it because It actually ended up looking good and pretty, and I did it all by myself when it was actually a group project. Because of my project you can learn more about the Paraguayan history.
The most challenging aspect of this project for me was having to do everything on my own at the same time. It was difficult to organize myself to get everything done on time, and I also wanted all my work to be high-quality and look good, so there were times when I didn't have enough time to finish. Next time I do a project like this, I'd like to improve my organization and manage my time better so that everything doesn't pile up. Next time I would like to try doing a bigger model to challenge myself and it's also really fun to do it and I really enjoy it.
Some of the information I used is the history of the church and how it ended in ruins wich I learned in my history class, also the 3d model I found on my research wich was really helpfull. I would like to say thank you to my history teacher C, my Work and technology teacher C, and my art teacher, Hope. All of them helped me to get the materials I needed, or helped me if I had a problem,
I'm really thankfull with them. <3
