Submit to the Expo!
SHOULD I SUBMIT?
Have an awesome project/investigation from the school year you'd like to share? Not sure if it's right for the STEAM Expo?Â
If you answer "Yes" to any one of these questions, then go ahead and submit!
If you need support in applying, reach out to your homeroom teacher, math/science teacher, or specials teacher for guidance.
Science: Did I make a science experiment/project that I want to share? School or home projects are both fine!
Technology: Did I code or create sometime unique using technology? Minecraft, websites, and robotics are perfect!
Engineering: Did I build something that I'm proud of? Bridges, towers, cars, and robots are some examples.
Art: Did I create art modeling STEM subjects or inspire a STEM design using art? Digital creations are welcome!
Mathematics: Did I discover a pattern from a unique perspective? Number ideas, equations, and data all work.
WHAT IS NEEDED TO SUBMIT?
Written Component
Tell us about your project through writing. What you share will be directly posted on the STEAM Expo website. Here are the topics:
Briefly introduce your question or problem
Why did you do this project?
How did you create your project or develop your solution?
What did you find out?
Tell us how you could extend your project.
References and Acknowledgements
Multimedia Component
Include pictures and videos. These will be posted on the Online STEAM Expo Website next to your written component.
Cover photo - This is what the audience/judges see first
Supplemental photos - Include up to 5 additional photos
Project video - Either upload a video or share a YouTube link
For identity protection, don't include images of yourself or other personal information.
Please note that for student anonymity and protection, all identifiable markers will be removed from student submissions once they are posted online. This means that names, personal information, personal photos, and other sensitive information will not be included anywhere in the student submissions section. All posted student submissions will be anonymous.
