PROJECT SUMMARY

We relised that little children could learn faster and better the parts of a plan with an interactive project, so we have decided to create the "Smart Electronical Plant".

WHY?

Our mission is to help kinder garden children to learn the parts of a plant in a funny and easier way, compared to the traditional teaching.

HOW?

We created it using just three elements: a Makey Makey board, an artificial plant and aluminum tape.

WHAT?

When an user touches with fingers the parts of the smart plant, the scratch program activates an audio which explains how to call and pronunciate that specific part of the plant.

SO WHAT?

The team has learned how to work as a team, electrical and programming fundamentals, and how to manage a STEAM project.

WHAT'S NEXT?

We want to expand our project to other similar topics, such as: body parts, parts of a tree, parts of a house, and other that could allow us to create an interactive model.

JUDGES FEEDBACK

Wow!!! Your project to help kindergarteners learn about plant parts is amazing! You've really used your creativity and cleverness by using cool tools like the Makey Makey board and Scratch program. I love how you're making learning fun and interactive for the little ones. It's awesome how you've added audio for each part of the plant to help them understand better. As you keep working on your project, consider testing it out with some kindergarteners to see what they think. Their opinions could make your project even more enjoyable and educational for them. I love it!!
