This is a funny and creative story about a dragon who is very cold and decides to go find the Sun. Along the way, he meets silly characters like a lazy pair of shoes and a shark that prefers watching Netflix. I used Scratch to create the story with backgrounds, sounds, and dialogues. My goal was to make people laugh while learning how to code better.
I love stories, and I wanted to make my own. Sometimes Scratch projects are just games, but I wanted to make people laugh. I also wanted to show that even if you are small (like the dragon), you can solve your problems—with a little help and humor!
First, I created my dragon and picked the places he would visit. Then I added the other sprites: a shark, a pair of shoes, and the Sun. I used the “hide” and “show” blocks to make them appear only in their scene. I used “say” blocks for the dialogues and added funny lines. I also used “wait” blocks and sounds to make the story feel like a real cartoon.
I learned that Scratch is more than just moving sprites, it’s like writing a script for a movie. I also learned how to use blocks in a better order and fix bugs when things don’t work. And I learned that humor makes everything more fun!
I made people laugh! That means my story worked. Also, I used coding to share a message in a creative way. I think this project shows that stories can teach, entertain, and connect people and you can do it with just code and ideas.
Next, I want to make a version where the player can choose where the dragon goes, like a game-book. I also want to add more jokes or even music in the background. Maybe the next adventure will be about a dragon who wants to learn how to dance.
I got the ideas for the jokes from my own imagination and cartoons I like. I thank Ms Cielo for helping me with the order of the blocks and giving me ideas for making it better.
