PROJECT SUMMARY

The “cardboard shoe rack" is a project that combines crafts with the reuse of materials we have on hand, in this case, shoe boxes. The idea was to create a shoe rack made from shoe boxes with the aim of keeping our footwear organized at home

WHY?

This project was selected from the proposed ideas because it generated a lot of excitement about how it would turn out.

HOW?

First, we chose two or three shoe boxes we had at home and also gathered materials to decorate the shoe rack. Then, we followed the step-by-step instructions provided by the Makers teachers until we finished the activity.

WHAT?

The project turned out very well. The boxes were perfectly assembled, and each student added a creative touch to decorate their shoe rack.

SO WHAT?

The project demonstrated the practicality of reusing shoe boxes to organize footwear at home. This emphasizes the importance of creativity and sustainability in solving household problems.

WHAT'S NEXT?

Organizers with two or three tiers could be assembled using shirt boxes.

JUDGES FEEDBACK

Lovely way of reusing a box that is usually thrown away if not recycled! The use of string to help keep the structure together is very ingenious. Did you think about decorating the outside of the boxes?
