PROJECT SUMMARY

We created a videogame using scratch. We were able to code and use video sensing, blocks and sound recording for our videogame called Catch Nano.

WHY?

We wanted to know how videogames were made. We also wanted to know more about coding.

HOW?

We used scratch for our project. First, we watched a lot of tutorials to understand how coding works, we started doing stories and beginner games. Once we became more familiar with coding and scratch, we decided to create our own game.

WHAT?

To play "Catch Nano" you need a computer and internet connection. Our game uses video sensing so you will also need a camera. You have to use your hands to catch Nano and score points.

SO WHAT?

We learned that you can learn how to code in a fun way and it has to follow a certain logic in order to have a successful videogame.

WHAT'S NEXT?

Our next step is add more levels and more difficulty to our game, we will continue to use scratch to learn more about coding and improve our game.

REFERENCES & ACKNOWLEDGMENTS

We watched the tutorials from scratch and guidance from Ms. Cielo from the maker lab.

JUDGES FEEDBACK

I'm incredibly impressed with your project, "Catch Nano"! You've demonstrated excellent coding skills by effectively using Scratch to create a fully functioning video game. Your incorporation of video sensing, blocks, and sound recording shows a deep understanding of different Scratch features and how they can work together to make an interactive and engaging game. This project is a fantastic example of creativity and technical ability. Keep up the great work and continue to explore new ways to enhance your games!
