I explored color theory and its influence on people, especially in relation to the feeling of love. I wanted to see how colors express emotions in different ways and how they shape the way we perceive love.
I was curious and had many questions about how colors influence us emotionally. I found it interesting how the same color can mean different things depending on the context, and I wanted to explore those contrasts more deeply.
I started by researching color theory, then sketched ideas and designed characters digitally. I wrote a script to organize my thoughts, and created a short animation that tells a story about how love can be both beautiful and complicated. I used my iPad to draw and animated the project in Procreate.
I discovered how colors can complement each other and express different meanings depending on how they are combined. I also realized that even without dialogue or a clear script, color alone can communicate powerful emotions in a scene or animation.
These results are important because they help me grow in my creative work and in how I understand emotions. Learning how colors influence us can be useful in everyday life—to bring calm, improve well-being, and help us process our feelings more consciously.
Next time, I would like to produce a more elaborate animation. My current short film is 1 minute and 38 seconds long, but I would like to include real stories about how people experience color emotionally. I also want to do surveys with classmates to analyze how colors influence them. In the future, I plan to manage my time better and organize my project more efficiently.
I used online resources and two YouTube videos where creators collaborated to explain the use of color in different art forms. The first video was by Gema Vadillo, who spoke about color in classical art. The second was by Julieta Wibel, who explored the mystery of color in film and music videos. I would like to thank my teacher Claudia G for their support during this project.
