The problem was that we were to be making a completely size accurate model of our Solar System. The complete meaning was that evrything down to the sizes of the planets and their paths that they revolve around the sun.
I did this project becuase i was asked to by a science teacher for a project. The project was to as I said earlier is to make a realistic model of the solar system we live in.Â
We were allowed to make the model in any type of way, like digitally, or in real life. I chose digital in 3-d modeling website known as tinkercad. I started by making a way to shrink the planets by still being able to be realistic and then got their colors and began to make the sun and the other planets next to it and add their revolution paths.
I found out that most other models are far from accurate in their sizes and length between the planets. For example Jupiter is by far the biggest planet and still it is no where close to the size of the sun.
the resuilts matter becuase maybe teachers can teach other kids the real ways the planets are than just showing them models that are dramatically out of size and date. If had known how small our planet is compared to the others I would looked at life differently back then.
I could show the solar system compared to other systems, or even other galaxies. The more I show the more people learn about how the world is really like.
I used other models found on tinkercad and on google and some help from Mr Lipperer my science teacher
