PROJECT SUMMARY

The main problem we want to address is data theft, espionage, and the use of social networks. The application prevents children from accessing unsafe applications, protects personal data, and creates another email in case they are in a dangerous application.

WHY?

We are a group of students who care about digital security, so we decided to create an app that allows you to be safe all the time.

HOW?

It all started when we came up with the idea one day to protect people digitally. We brainstormed problems and solutions, then planned to create an app for mobile phones and PCs. When we finished, we presented to the class about the antivirus application called Digital Guardian. The development began in Miro, where we started creating the prototype of Digital Guardian, putting images in place and completing the presentation there. We are still working on the prototype, but essentially, the main problem we want to eradicate is data theft, spies, and social networks. The app will monitor and suggest controls and request authorization when it detects unsafe pages.

WHAT?

With our app that monitors and alerts adults about what you see, and only with authorization from an adult can you use the app, it also blocks untrustworthy websites, prevents data theft, and so on.

SO WHAT?

What we learned is the importance of teamwork and paying attention to guidelines and recommendations from teachers for our application.

WHAT'S NEXT?

We will continue improving the prototype and adding other security features.

JUDGES FEEDBACK

A cool start to an authentic problem in both Asuncion and the global community. You show a clear definition of the problem as well as evidence of planning and prototyping your design. I would love to see a video of the app in action or an example of someone using it to help undestand the user experience.
