PROJECT SUMMARY
Having a regular lock has many disadvantages, such as needing the physical key to enter, the risk of losing your keys, and the possibility of the key being copied. However, with our technological lock, you can have more freedom to control and enable access to your home, providing enhanced security.
WHY?
To improve home security, we are also considering reducing the use of keys, as people in a family often lose them or find them impractical.
HOW?
First, we worked on brainstorming problems and looked for issues that technology could solve. We also researched existing solutions and found similar applications, but our application will store data about people entering the house, take photos, and save them so that the person can view that information. Then, we brainstormed ideas to choose a solution.
Our prototype focuses on a type of lock that doesn't require a key but uses a code or fingerprint instead. This security format is much more effective in many ways thanks to its functions. Among these is a camera that scans your eyes and takes photos if you use the lock. These photos are stored and sent to the app called SECURITY. Our prototype is centered around the mobile application to integrate with other devices like the camera.
WHAT?
We discovered that we can create prototypes and learn how applications are made. We also learned to use tools that professionals use to design an app.
