Me and my friend love to work on complicated model rocket, but we had a question. Are the simulations we run, accurate? How is the weather up there when we launch the rockets? So, we decided to find out!
We were trying to figure out, how well our rocket do in the sky when they launch. We worked out the simulations, but seeing the results werent just enough for us.
First we had to learn how to operate the BMP 180 (altimeter) and the MPU 6050 (gyroscope), learn how to program them with C++. Then we had to Design the rocket and calculate and run simulations on how it would be and how we can inprove on it. Then after a nice coating of paint and finishing touches it was ready.
We figured out that we have to powerful rockets for our testing grounds. So, have not been able to test our project nevertheless in the near future we will be able to launch it. However the main idea is to when we launch the rocket the modual that we have inside the rocket will give us the information we want.
We have not launched the project yet but in the near future we will be able to test it.the Data Logger rocket allowed us to understand the importance of structural design, material choice, and stability in flight. Our project shows how physics concepts like center of mass and aerodynamics affect real prototypes. In the future, testing it will help us validate our design and improve its performance.
The idea is that in the future we will be able to launch a V2 of the project with PCB's, more complicated designed and programing and a parachute ejection mechanical system.
We have gottem help from online forms and teachers for advice and acompaning us through the project
